LAX plans $80 million dining and retail renovation

Good news, foodies!

Almost two dozen new restaurants are making their way to LAX. An $80 million renovation set to begin in spring 2013 will greatly expand the dining options at Los Angeles’ Tom Bradley International Terminal.

The new restaurants include:

  • ink.sac, featuring sandwiches from Michael Voltaggio
  • Border Grill, from Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken
  • Umami Burger
  • LAMILL, a coffee shop
  • Larder at Tavern, from Suzanne Goin and Caroline Styne
  • 800 Degrees, a pizza shop
  • III Forks, a steakhouse
  • Chaya, the famed “La Nouvelle Cuisine Franco-Japanese”
  • Lucky Fish by Sushi Roku
  • Petrossian, a caviar store
  • Vino Volo, a wine shop
  • Short Cake, a bakery from Amy Pressman
  • Vanilla Bake Shop
  • James’ Beach, out of Venice, Calif.
  • Starbucks Evenings, which features savory small plates, desserts, beer and wine
  • Starbucks Coffee
  • Cantina Laredo, serving modern Mexican cuisine
  • Marmalade Café
  • Pinkberry
  • Drink.LA
  • The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
  • Scoreboard LA
  • Panda Express

Expect construction to begin early next year. A second phase is planned for 2014.
